We are a group of technopreneurs who are passionate about creating a world without plastic based crockery and packaging.

To put things into perspective, Malaysians dump 4,046 tonnes of edible food daily. Along with this waste is 910 tonnes of plastic-based packaging. The challenge is the process of separating the plastic waste from the edible food waste which is labour intensive and requires a high embodied energy to produce quality compost or fertilizer. Thus increasing the price of organic fertilizers and beyond the reach of smallholding farmers who are champions of organic food produce.

Go Areca wants to promote a paradigm shift where Malaysians are fully committed to use 100% biodegradable crockery and food packaging.  The concept is SIMPLE, THROW AWAY the GO ARECA crockery and utensils with the edible food waste for 100% ORGANIC COMPOST.

Hence, do not require the separation process to produce the compost and undoubtedly save cost on one major process. With this in mind, we would help more 100% organic compost or fertilizers accessible to smallholding farmers.Thus encouraging more Malaysians to consume affordable organic produced locally.

Not only Go Areca will help the upward mobility of smallholding farmers but reduce health care budget on caring for NCD like cancer by consuming more organic food and produce.
